Three one-acts by Thornton Wilder. Thornton Wilder is one of the half-dozen best American playwrights of the Twentieth Century. "Our Town," "The Skin of Our Teeth," and "The Matchmaker," (which became "Hello, Dolly!") are his full-length works, but he also authored some of the best short plays of our time. We have chosen three of these -- two well-known "classics," and one only recently published -- to illustrate his genius. They exemplify two qualities for which he is renowned: humanity and brilliant theatricality. The poster and program for this event are designed by Visual and Performing Arts students as part of COM 160, Computer Graphics: Design & Layout class.
