Forty-four Students Certified to Perform Motor Vehicle Inspections

On Friday, April 16, 2010, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles sent Mark Jaczewski to the Applied Technologies Center to administer the class on NYS Periodic Motor Vehicle Safety Inspection and the Certification exam.  Forty-four (44) matriculated automotive students attended the class, successfully completed the certification exam and were awarded licenses.   These MCC students can now perform the required NYS annual motor vehicle inspections at their places of employment.  This will greatly enhance the students' value to their employers.  Thanks goes to the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles for allowing this special section.  The NYS DMV normally uses the Applied Technologies Center for certification classes on the second Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. MCC automotive students are allowed to participate in these classes without pre-registration (walk-in status).  This event was coordinated by George Behrens, Automotive Technology Team Leader.
