Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection Update and Restart Prompt

An update to the Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection Service component was released October 6.  For most computers, the update took place in the background without interruption or notification.

However, in some cases, the update cannot finish without a restart. This can happen if Windows Updates are queued up or a restart of the PC is pending due to other software installations or updates. In those cases, you may see a Windows notification appear in the lower-right corner of the computer monitor, near the clock.  The notification will show the time the restart will occur if no action is taken and also has options to postpone the restart or restart now.  The update to the Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection Service will take place when the PC is rebooted.

In rare instances, Malwarebytes is unable to install the update after a reboot and/or the restart notification reappears frequently. In those cases create a ticket to have Malwarebytes reinstalled or contact Technical Support at, 292-TECH (8324), option 3
