Encourage your students to attend: Get LinkedIn or Get LeftOut!
Employers are using LinkedIn to find qualified candidates to fill job openings. According to recent data, LinkedIn members with completed profiles are 40X more likely to receive opportunities through LinkedIn. Over the past year the Employment and Career Services staff of the Career and Transfer Center has attended multiple LinkedIn trainings to become proficient at building a professional student LinkedIn profile.
The Career and Transfer Center has created a workshop series titled Get LinkedIn or Get Left Out. The goal is to have the student create an effective profile and build networking connections. After developing a complete profile, students will have the opportunity to join the MCC Career and Transfer Center student LinkedIn group. The sessions will be offered Wednesdays beginning October 2nd from 12 pm to 12:50 pm in the Career and Transfer Center Library (3-108).
