A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage with two Great Performances (Don't Miss It)

Presenting a celebration of Hispanic heritage: Two Great Performances

TRES VIDAS (Performed by the Core Ensemble) and CHOCOLATE CASI AMARGO (Candide Carasco)
Thursday, November 5, 2015
Both events will take place in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center (Monroe A/B)

TRES VIDAS explores the lives of three legendary Latin American Women: Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, Salvadoran peasant activist Rufina Amaya and Argentinean poet Alfonsia Storni.  You will be captivated by the performances and songs from all three of these countries. The script is by award-winning writer and scholar Marjorie Agosin.
Time: 11:30am to 12:45pm for the performance followed by a small reception

CHOCOLATE CASE AMERGO is an original play that debuted in 2014 at the Fringe Festival. The performance provides a snapshot into the lives of a Cuban couple, their joys and challenges of family, live and culture.  The performance is followed by a question and answer session.
Time: 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Both events are free and open to the public

Faculty, if you plan on bringing your class (which we hope you do), R.S.V.P. to Shirley Batistta Provost at <mailto:Sprovost@monroecc.edu> or call 292-2544.  Please indicate which event you will be attending or if you will be attending both.
