The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) held their annual Student Recognition Celebration on Tuesday, June 2nd to recognize program participants’ academic achievements, commitment to community service, and demonstration of good citizenship.
LPP was proud to honor 31 graduating seniors many of whom will be attending MCC in the fall. In addition, Vivian Bridges was recognized as “Most Involved Parent” and Abdul Bounds and Maurice Wims, Jr. were recognized for their commitment to and participation in the program over the past five years.
LPP, based at MCC's Damon City Campus, is funded by the New York State Department of Education. The mission is to provide personal and academic support to youth in the Rochester City School District in order for them to graduate from high school and enter postsecondary education and the workforce as competent young adults.
