Major General John Batiste speaks at MCC


On the behalf of the MCC Veterans Club, and Campus Center, you are invited to attend a special speaking engagement with special guest:

Major General John Batiste (U.S. Army retired)

His topic will be “Accountability for the War in Iraq”

Major General Batiste, was commissioned as an infantry officer in 1974.  Over the next 31 years, he served in a variety of leadership and staff positions, including platoon, company, battalion, brigade, and division command.  His major combat and peace enforcement experience included deployments to Saudi Arabia and Iraq during Operation Desert Shield and Storm (August 1990 to April 1991), to Bosnia-Herzegovina during the Implementation Force mission ( December 1995 to November 1996) and again to Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom 2 (January 2004 to February 2005).

Admission is free, however, because we must keep track of seating in the theater, please call Shirley Batistta-Provost at x2544 or visit the Campus Center Office, if you are bring a group, class or more than 10 people for this event.

There will be a question and answer session from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in the Building 12 North Atrium (next to the theater) on Veterans Education and Health Care Issues with literature and refreshments.
