MCC baseball player Nate Grabowski (Pennellville, NY/Phoenix) and women's lacrosse player Dana Chubb (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) were named the MCC Athletes of the Week.
Grabowski hit .441 (15-for-34) as the Tribunes went 10-2 last week. The sophomore centerfielder had four doubles, one triple, and two home runs and also scored 13 runs while driving in 12. On the year, Grabowski leads Monroe with a .452 batting average and has stolen 10 bases.
Chubb had a solid week as the Lady Tribunes went 1-2 in Maryland. The sophomore had four goals in a 10-7 win over Anne Arundel CC, then had two in a 9-4 loss to top-ranked CCBC-Catonsville. She finished the week with three goals in a loss to Harford CC.
