Employee Compliance: Verify Vax or Test

To date, more than 700 MCC colleagues have voluntarily verified that they are vaccinated against COVID-19. Thank you for all you are doing to protect yourselves and our students from the virus and its variants! Your efforts are key to MCC educating and serving students in person, while keeping our on-campus positivity rate as low as possible.

Testing weekly is required if you:

• are unvaccinated, or
• choose not to verify your vaccination* with Human Resources, and
• come to campus—frequently or infrequently—for any reason.

If you are among the approximately 500 colleagues who have not voluntarily verified vaccination, you are required to participate in weekly pooled testing at MCC or send negative test results from another provider to Kristin Lowe (klowe5@monroecc.edu).

Beginning next week, Human Resources will directly notify unvaccinated colleagues who are not fulfilling the weekly testing requirement.

Your contributions to our college and community are appreciated and inspiring. Getting vaccinated, monitoring your personal health, and testing weekly if you are unvaccinated are key to MCC’s ability to safely offer in-person learning and services.

* Once you voluntarily verify vaccination with Human Resources, testing is optional. According to the recent MCC Daily Tribune article, submitting verification takes only a few minutes and all information is kept confidential and stored separately from personnel files.
