Lena Shiao, Assistant Professor in the Education Department, is conducting a series of student workshops at the Richard M. Guon Child Care Center in an effort to enable student workers to feel comfortable and confident in their work with young children at the center. Student workers are an integral part of the team at MCC’s child care center. Professor Shiao is focusing on topics such as Engaging with Families, Interacting Daily with Children, and What it Means to be a Professional in the Field. Feedback has been extremely positive and workshops will continue throughout the semester.
