The Low Carbon Diet Challenge

The Low Carbon Diet Challenge, supported by MCC's Sustainability Committee

This Fall, residents of Rochester will gather to take action against climate change.  Don’t miss your chance to join Low Carbon Diet program participants across the globe to save money, energy and the planet!

In this first-of-its-kind set of events across the greater Rochester area, citizens will move from conversation about climate change to taking action.  If you want to be part of a community effort that can really make a difference, then join us for the Low Carbon Diet Challenge!

In a series of three meetings, we’ll use the “Low Carbon Diet” workbook to learn simple actions to reduce energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.  The Town of Brighton and Color Brighton Green are holding the meetings at the Town Hall on Monday, October 6 from 6-9 PM, and Monday, October 20 and November 10 from 6-8 PM.   If these dates or times are not convenient, there will be meeting locations in the City of Rochester (four locations), Henrietta, Irondequoit, Perinton, Greece, and Scottsville.

Then, on November 18 at 7 PM, all are invited to join in the Cool Communities Grand Awards Celebration hosted by Mayor Duffy at City Hall to celebrate our collective accomplishments!
