Susan Gunther recognized as mentor in the Democrat and Chronicle

Recognition for outstanding work is not always immediate – but the time and effort put into shaping the lives of youth is meaningful.

Susan Gunther, director of MCC’s Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP), was surprised to see her name in the “Getting Ahead” section of Sunday’s Democrat and Chronicle where she was recognized for her mentorship by Na’Keya Thomas.  Thomas, the 27 year old founder of Amodestri Girls Club Inc., was featured in the paper for her efforts to make a difference in the community.  Gunther was Thomas’ counselor through a special program at John Marshall High School.

Susan Gunther has been positively affecting lives of Rochester inner-city youth for the last 23 years.  This is a tremendous accomplishment.
