THE 5th Annual Model United Nations
 Simulation Program

Conference:             New York City Marriott and United Nations Building
When:           April 11-15th

We are in the 5th  year of sponsoring one of the most dynamic and exciting programs for students at MCC, the annual “Model United Nations Simulation Program & Conference”.  For over 35 years the National Collegiate Conference Association (NCCA) has invited MCC students to be a part of an educational experience that they will never forget.  Last year the MCC team was invited to participate, along with 3,500 other students from colleges and universities around the world, in New York City at the real United Nations.  The program is stimulating, educational, competitive, challenging and fun for students who are interested in the workings of the United Nations, international relations and diplomacy. Students get a chance to learn leadership skills such as problem solving, negotiations, debating, leading other students and facilitating.

Students will:
*       Learn valuable leadership skills
*       Work in a team directed program
*       Travel to New York City to competed at the real United Nations
*       Prepare to role-play as a diplomat for the United Nations

All expenses are paid for by Global Union and the Student Association

The program will start next semester, however the screening process will be decided this semester.  Students are encouraged to fill out an application and sign-up for an interview.  The deadline date to apply is  November 4th, 2005

Applications, information and sign-up sheets are available at the Campus Center Office (3-126).
