MCC Global Faces

MCC Global Faces is an ongoing project which promotes cultural exchanges between our international, immigrant, refugee, and Puerto Rican students in ESOL classes and our native English speaking students, faculty, and staff. Components of this project include interdisciplinary collaborations, personal essays, interviews, and workshops.

For our latest project, painting and anthropology students interviewed ESOL students, and then the painting students created artwork featured on notecards. Each painting highlights the ESOL student culture and story. Click on this link Global Faces Artwork to see some of the artwork. If you're interested in a set of free notecards, please contact Christina Lee in the GEIS office.

MCC is home to approximately 100 international students and over 700 immigrant students each year. These students enhance our diverse and culturally rich college. If you're interested in participating in a Global Faces project, please contact Katie Leite in the ESOL Program.
