Anne Barker, director of the Richard M. Guon Child-Care Center and Lena Shiao, associate professor in the Department of Education and Human Services presented an engaging workshop entitled "Collaboration Works! A Closer Look at ECE Department and Campus Center Partnership" on March 25, 2017 in Long Beach, California.
As part of the National Coalition for Campus Child-Care Centers conference, the presentation focused on the many years of partnership between the Department of Education and the on-campus child-care center. Despite being housed at two different campuses, a myriad of benefits to children, families, students and staff of the center were highlighted as well as how some of the challenges were overcome.
