"The Web site will help us generate even more excitement for the Gala,' said Brian Hendrick, associate director of development at the MCC Foundation. "The committee, led by Elaine Michael, is excited to see how the site will help raise money for MCC students and faculty."
Close to 60 items have been donated by MCC family members-faculty, staff, and directors of the MCC Foundation Board. Both live auction and silent auction items are listed within the site. Items range from original artwork and music, to home cooked, theme dinners and PGA Championship tickets. Frances Dearing, Curriculum and Program Development, and Dr. Susan Salvador, Student Services, co-chaired this year's Acquisitions Committee. This is the fourth year that Dearing and Salvador have led the committee by encouraging faculty and staff to contribute unique items and talents to the event.
"Some of the items also have pictures so you can preview donated items," said Hendrick. "Kim Canfield, Academic Services, and Sean Baker, Computing, did a great job to help us launch the site."
Online pre-bidding for auction items will conclude on April 21. The Gold Star Gala will be held on April 26. For more information or tickets, please contact the MCC Foundation at x1500.
