MINI LECTURE HALLS: HOW TO USE THE CLASSROOM TECHNOLOGY

MCC’s Mini Lecture Halls have gone through a radical upgrade during summer 2006. We have added surround sound capability along with new speakers, a control system via PixiePro and a multi-configurable orientation. If you are teaching in these upgraded rooms you will want to learn how to use the fancy equipment. This Brown Bag Session focuses on the Mini Lecture Halls, specifically 11-306, 11-310, 12-225, 12-229, 12-125, and 12-129. Learn how to:

* Operate the PixiePro panel that runs the equipment in the Lecture Halls
* Set the system for single room use or set it for Master/Overflow usage
* Access the M: drive or bring Zip disks, CDs or flash drives to class
* Switch between PC, VCR, DVD
* Plug in your laptop to the system so it projects
* Learn to change the settings for the different lighting environments
* Control the audio levels in the room
* Plug in and use your own camcorder or other device
* Use a closed captioned video in your class

Facilitated by Paul Tracy, ETS Instructional Technologies.
