The Admissions Office is excited to be partnering with NextStepU to provide the Youth Leadership Summit at MCC on Friday March 4th. Over 300 area high school students will be on campus to hone their leadership skills and learn more about being a college student.
Attendees will hear from Darrel “Coach D” Andres, America’s Passion Coach, an internationally recognized motivational strategist, trainer, author, and career-life coach. The high school students will then have the opportunity to attend an array of workshops, including How to Avoid Debt in College, Public Speaking, Being the Best Version of Yourself, How to Choose a Major and College, Time Management, and Leadership.
The visiting high school students will be able to visit with over 30 area colleges during a College Fair.
We are pleased to welcome both Dr. Anne Kress and Mayor Lovely Warren to this event to share their insights as part of the closing session of the day’s activities.
