MCC recently completed a “Request for Proposal” process for dining services. This process involved a committee of faculty, staff and students, as well as an independent consultant, who guided us through this lengthy and complicated process. It was the decision of the committee, as well as Dr. Kress and the management staff, to choose Sodexo as the new food service provider at Monroe Community College.
Over the next two months, we will be transitioning from Aramark Dining Services to Sodexo. The process will be completed by July 1, 2010. You may rest assured that both companies are working very hard with MCC to assure a smooth and orderly transition. As well, both companies are assisting current employees in appropriate staffing placements.
If you have events that require catering service prior to July 1, 2010, please continue to use Catertrax as you normally would. This system is already programmed not to accept orders after June 30th. Over the next week, we will be meeting with Sodexo and will outline the procedures for placing catering orders beginning July 1st. We will also keep you informed of any new services or venues that may be provided by Sodexo.
We look forward to providing our Campus Community with the best possible choices in dining services, and we welcome your comments and feedback as we move through this process. I would also like to thank the Food Service Committee members for their hard work and diligence in helping with this important decision.
