Gallup Survey to Measure Employee Engagement

MCC's 2017-2021 Strategic Plan includes a new emphasis on organizational culture, with a focus on promoting a culture of excellence through a shared commitment to our values and mission. This is why we have partnered with Gallup, an independent, research firm, to conduct a confidential employee engagement survey.

We recognize that our College is large, layered, and complex: in order to work for our students, MCC must work for you. Measuring your engagement is the first step in the process of improving organizational culture and building a better environment for all employees.

In selecting Gallup for assessing employee engagement, MCC picked a respected research firm that has studied the engagement of more than 25 million employees worldwide. The survey that you will receive, the Gallup Q12, is unique in that it is focused on you: you tell us where you need more from MCC and where the College is currently meeting your needs. Your engagement, motivation, and preparation are essential to our students' success. So, MCC needs to hear from you.

This year's Gallup survey will set our baseline, making your participation especially important. The survey is not a one-time event; it will be run again each year throughout the 2017-2021 Strategic Plan. Your confidential responses will inform how our College allocates resources in support of improving and sustaining a respectful, open, and collaborative organizational culture in which we live our values for every employee every day.

You will receive the survey directly from Gallup via email on November 15, and you have until December 12 to complete it. Aggregate results from the survey will be shared with the MCC community as part of the public report out on the baseline metrics for Strategic Direction Four, Organizational Culture.

I hope that you will respond and help us make us a difference for you and our College.
