Holocaust Scholars Participate in "Think Tank" at MCC

This weekend, March 5-6, Monroe Community College will host an exclusive “think tank” for 20 of the world’s leading Holocaust scholars. The think tank is an invitation-only event at which participants will plan the 42nd annual Scholars’ Conference on the Holocaust and the Churches, an international scholars’ conference that will also be hosted at MCC in 2012. Think tank and conference participants will address the historical significance of the Holocaust and the German Church’s struggle from international, interdisciplinary, interfaith and intergenerational perspectives. MCC faculty and student ambassadors will participate in the conference and interact with the scholars.

Our discussion will focus on the Holocaust (Shoah) as a threshold event of paradigmatic significance for our time and after. The Think Tank is sponsored by the
Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project, in partnership with the Division of Liberal Arts.

The Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project has been a member of the Association of Holocaust Organizations since 1993.
