City police excel as MCC mentors
I want to thank Rochester Police Department Officers Robert Poles Jr. and Albert Weech for helping me prepare to join the department. They work in a mentoring program at Monroe Community College to help students pass the police test. They and other officers in this are doing a selfless act, and will help recruits. -- Averell Knight, Rochester
Kudos to Officer Poles, who teaches in MCC's Health and Physical Education department, and to Robert Kennedy and Gary Thompson, in Law and Criminal Justice, who were instrumental in getting the PREP program established on the Damon City Campus.
