<p>The Board took the following actions during the meeting:</p>

<p>1. Adopted the consent agenda effective January 31, 2022.</p>

<p>2. Accepted the Interim Financial Reports as of November 30 and December 31, 2021.</p>

<p>3. Authorized the purchase of items over $20,000 as listed for the months of November and December,&nbsp;2021.</p>

<p>4. Accepted&nbsp;the annual audit of Monroe Community College for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2021, as conducted by Bonadio &amp; Co., LLP.</p>

<p>5. Authorized the transfer of funds from&nbsp;Career Technical Education Admin&nbsp;(Academic Support) &ndash; Personal Services (General Institutional) to&nbsp;VP, Eco Dev &amp; Innovation Workforce Services (General Administrative) &ndash; Personal Services.</p>

<p>6. Within the Board of Trustees agreement with President Burt-Nanna, approved amended paragraph 1.4 (replaced &ldquo;aide&rdquo; with &ldquo;aid&rdquo;) and amended paragraphs 1.5. and 1.6 to update references to Public Officers Law Section 74 with General Municipal Law to align the language in the agreement with the President with the State of New York Joint Commission on Professional Ethics (JCOPE) Advisory Opinion (No. 21-02 on October 19, 2021 which extended&nbsp;Public Officers Law Section 74 to community colleges affiliated with SUNY).</p>

<p>7. Approved the appointment of Quent Rhodes, Associate Vice President of Facilities, effective March 7, 2022 through August 31, 2022 at an annual salary of $115,000 prorated to $56,528 for the appointment period.</p>

<p><strong>8. The Board heard presentations from:</strong></p>

<li>Bonadio and Co., LLP representatives Jonathan Miller and Andrew Kelly who presented Annual Audit results.</li>
<li>MCC Interim Vice President and CFO Darrell Jachim-Moore&nbsp;regarding the College&rsquo;s interim financial reports as of November 30 and December&nbsp;31, 2021.</li>
<li>MCC President Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna on MCC's health and safety measurements, the wtrategic planning process and SUNY state budget advocacy priorities for community colleges.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Interim Vice President and CFO Darrell Jachim-Moore&nbsp;on Administrative Services activities; Acting Vice President&nbsp;Dr. Kimberly McKinsey-Mabry on Academic and Student Services activities; Acting Vice President Kristin Sine-Kinz&nbsp;on Economic &amp; Workforce Development &amp; Career Technical Education activities; and Vice President and Executive Director of the MCC Foundation Gretchen Wood on Institutional Advancement activities. (Please refer to the&nbsp;<em>Divisional Highlights</em>&nbsp;attachment).</li>
<li>On behalf of MCC Foundation Board of Directors Chair Lori Van Dusen, Vice President Wood provided an updated regarding Foundation activities, including the transfer of $1.75 million to the College.</li>
<li>Student Trustee Paula Barlow on student engagement activities and her leadership experiences.</li>
<li>Shared Governance representatives including Student Government Association President Isabella DeRubeis; Faculty Senate President Nayda Pares-Kane; Support Staff Planning Council Co-chair Diane Wilson; and Dr. Burt-Nanna&nbsp;representing Administration.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Faculty Association and CSEA leaders&nbsp;did not provide updates.</li>
</ul>

The Trustees then conducted&nbsp;an Executive Session pursuant to Public Officers Law &sect;105, subsection (f): the medical, financial, credit, or employment history of a particular person or corporation, or matters leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal, or removal of a particular person or corporation.&nbsp;</p>

News from the January MCC Board of Trustees Meeting

The MCC Board of Trustees met virtually on Monday, January 31, 2022. Chair Allen K. Williams opened the meeting and welcomed new MCC Trustee Connie O. Walker, Esq. to the Board. Appointed by Gov. Kathy Hochul, Trustee Walker's biography is available on the Board of Trustees Members web page.

The Board took the following actions during the meeting:
