Help Phi Theta Kappa Sponsor a Child this Christmas

Phi Theta Kappa needs your help to give underprivileged children in Rochester a great Christmas this year!  We would like to give a gift to every single child who attends the Oregon Leopold Daycare Center on Bay Street.  There are 51 kids ranging in age from infant to 12 years old.  We are asking the MCC Community to help us by sponsoring a child.  Each child has asked for one present.

Stop at the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development on the Brighton Campus, or the Student Life Office on the Damon City Campus and pick out a child’s name and wish.  If you do not have time to buy the present yourself, but would still like to help, we will accept monetary donations and will go shopping for you.  Examples of the presents asked for include:  dolls, toy cars and art supplies.

We are asking that all gifts (wrapped or unwrapped) be delivered to the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development or the DCC Campus, Student Life Office by Monday, December 8th.  We will then have a Christmas party at the Daycare Center on Friday, December 12th at 3:30 p.m.  If you purchase a gift for a child, you are more than welcome to come to the party and see their face as they open your gift.

If you have any questions, please contact Jodi Oriel in the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development at 585-292-2533, Tracey Britton in the DCC Student Services Center at 585-262-1741, or Ted Carey, Phi Theta Kappa president at 585-802-1623.
