Guidelines for Study Abroad Activities for Students and International Travel for Employees
We are pleased to announce that MCC will resume offering study abroad opportunities to all MCC students, following a pandemic hiatus.
The latest SUNY guidance makes it possible for individual colleges/universities across the system to once again offer valuable, immersive-learning experiences while ensuring the health and safety of students, faculty and staff.
All study abroad programming requests will be vetted by SUNY’s Office of Global Affairs to ensure students and employees stay safe while traveling. Interested MCC faculty should coordinate their efforts with Christina Lee in Global Education & International Services.
International Travel for Employees
MCC is also resuming college-related business travel abroad in conjunction with guidance similar to those for study abroad programs. Here are the general travel guidelines for both domestic and international travel:
Domestic Travel:
- Travel Procedure– myMCC under Administrative Guidelines
- Travel Revisions as of Sept 1 2021
International Travel:
- International Travel Employees (must follow both domestic and international travel procedures as noted on the form)
If you require further clarification or have questions regarding the pre-approval process, please feel free to reach out to Mike Quinn for Business Travel Operating procedures or Administrative Services for international travel.
For the latest U.S./international travel guidelines, visit the U.S. State Department and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention websites.
Thank you for your cooperation.
