MCC's Counseling Center: Mental Health Resources

MCC's Counseling Center staff remain dedicated and committed to the emotional well-being of our students. Counseling staff are available for phone-based services and ask that students contact the office at (585) 292-2140, to schedule an appointment to talk with a counselor. Students, faculty, and staff can also contact the office at the following email address, counselingservices@monroecc.edu.

During this time of crisis, we urge you to practice some of the following tips:

  • Take care of your immediate physical surroundings - keep your environment as neat and clean as possible.
  • Eat well and stay hydrated. Think about your diet. Eating regularly and keeping blood sugar levels stable helps mood and energy.
  • If you are on medications keep taking them at the right time and correct dosages as prescribed.
  • Try to stay active, exercise via walks, runs, etc.
  • Get as much sunlight and fresh air as feasible.
  • Maintain regular and healthy sleep habits.
  • During this time of physical distancing, stay socially connected to your family and friends.
  • Stay connected to the world by viewing current events; however, be careful where you get your news and health information. Also, be sure to limit the amount of news that you are viewing daily because too much can be overwhelming.
