Lockdown Drill Results (DCC)


On 10/23/14 the Department of Public Safety, in conjunction with faculty and staff, conducted a lockdown drill at the Damon City Campus. Lockdown drills are held to reinforce established safety procedures that must be followed during a real lockdown event.  Drills also serve to increase awareness and understanding of the MCC’s emergency alert systems.

The lockdown drill ran smoothly with participation and compliance by nearly all of the DCC community. The drill began at 9:50 a.m. and concluded within eight minutes. Most participants correctly sought shelter within nearby interior rooms and utilized proper steps to make their environment safe.

Safety drills will continue in the future as an effort to keep you safe while at MCC. Your participation is extremely important to the success of such programs. You can find more information on lockdown procedures at the MCC Department of Public Safety website:
