Alumni Contributing to the Community Display at Monroe County Office Building

A display celebrating the contributions Monroe Community College alumni have made to the community will be featured in the atrium of the Monroe County Office Building, 39 West Main Street, Rochester, Feb. 2-13, 2009.

The College selected and honored 15 alumni last fall for their positive impact on the Greater Rochester community.

“These alumni give generously of themselves to make a positive difference in the lives of others,” says MCC Interim President Larry W. Tyree.  “They exemplify the thousands of MCC graduates who are living, working and contributing in this community.  Truly, there is no better evidence of the impact of this college than our alumni who are making a difference every day.”

“As a nationally recognized model of educational excellence and one of the premier community colleges in the country, MCC plays a vital role in strengthening our local workforce, economy, and overall quality of life,” said Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks. “Without question, this is due in large part to the countless community-oriented MCC graduates who contribute so much to Monroe County each and every day. I am pleased that some of these outstanding individuals will be recognized by the “Giving Back. Moving Forward – MCC Alumni Contributing to the Community” display to be featured in the atrium of the County Office Building, and I commend and thank all MCC graduates for their continued dedication to making Monroe County the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
