iStream Webinar - Understanding the Career Development Process: A Primer for Counselors, Instructors and Staff Members

Innovative Educators and the League for Innovation partner to provide iStream subscribers front-row, free seating to webinars and training sessions focused on the most critical and relevant issues facing educators today. This free, career development focused webinar is a great example of what iStream has to offer community college members.

Overview

This program addresses career development as a human growth and development process and focuses specifically on how it relates to young adults in the transition from school to college, college to graduate school and college to the workplace. The webinar presents the topic in a “teachable” manner so participants can carry their knowledge of the career development process into counseling and classroom situations. Each of the six stages of the career development process is examined in detail, as are the facts and myths associated with this important series of life transitions.

Who is the speaker?

Dr. Frank Burtnett, President and Principal Consultant with Education Now, will serve as presenter for this webinar. Dr. Burtnett is the former Executive Director of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and Associate Executive Director of the American Counseling Association (ACA). He is the author of the Bound-For-College Guidebook (2009) and the Bound-For-Career Guidebook (2010), published by Rowman & Littlefield Education.
