Congratulations and Goodbye to Tom Capuano!

Please join the Virtual Campus in wishing Tom Capuano, Instructional Designer, a fond farewell as he leaves us for his new position as Senior Instructional Designer at the University of Rochester! His last day at MCC is Friday, August 19th. 

We are extremely grateful for all of Tom’s work on our team over the past eight years at MCC. Some of the highlights of his work include the creation of our online Blackboard training course series, the implementation of the OSCCR rubric at MCC, the creation of the team course development approach for online course design, assisting faculty to create hundreds of online courses for Open SUNY+ and SUNY Online Degrees at Scale, the creation of countless training courses, and training and support for various instructional technologies. The list goes on and on. He is also a Chancellor’s Award recipient for Excellence in Professional Service in 2019. We can’t thank him enough for his dedication and service to our faculty and our Virtual Campus team. 

You’re invited to stop by the Distillery between 5 - 6:30pm on Thursday, August 18th or Deja Brew on the Brighton Campus on Friday, August 19th from 10 am- 11 am to wish Tom good luck in his new position.
