Slight change to the CIS (Course Information Sheet) template
The CIS template has been updated slightly yesterday to make sure it's up-to-date with the latest guidance on Covid-related procedures (a big shout-out to Kara Tierney and Jessica Barone from Chem/Geosciences for pointing out this inconsistency to us!) Use the directions below for making sure you have the correct info in there, and, as always, you can contact the virtualcampus@monroecc.edu if you have any questions.
If you haven't started working on your CISs for spring yet, you can find the latest template in "M:\MCC\Digital Resources\Course Information Sheet (CIS) template", along with a set of instructions in a "READ ME FIRST" file.
If you already have a version of the template you're working on for spring, you can copy-and-paste the text below, in place of the existing text under the heading of "Statement on Coronavirus-related Guidelines":
Guidance for in-person classes continues to change and we urge you to consult the coronavirus webpage for the most up-to-date information on requirements. As of January 2022, we know the following are required:
- If you plan to take in-person classes, work on campus, live in the residence halls, or participate in on-campus activities or services during intersession or spring semester, you must:
- Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19;
- Have had at least one vaccine dose and have been granted a temporary medical accommodation to complete any vaccine series; or
- Have been granted a medical or religious exemption.
- For the spring 2022 semester*, you must verify your vaccination** or obtain an exemption** by 11:59 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022. There is no grace period. Students who do not meet the deadline for completing the COVID-19 requirement will be removed from in-person courses. This may affect financial aid eligibility.
- * Additional details are available if you are taking in-person classes through the Economic and Workforce Development Center or if you are taking in-person classes through the Public Safety Training Facility.
- ** If you verified your vaccination or received a medical or religious exemption during the fall 2021 semester, you will not have to re-verify your status prior to intersession or the spring 2022 semester. Weekly testing will continue to be required if you received an exemption.
- Indoor masking requirements:
- Due to a local increase in COVID-19 cases, the Monroe County Department of Public Health requires MCC students, faculty, staff and visitors—regardless of vaccination status—to wear face coverings inside college buildings until further notice.
- Fully vaccinated students, faculty, and staff who are alone and not in a public or shared space may unmask.
- Meetings or group activities held in conference rooms or other indoor spaces should be conducted with everyone being masked—regardless of vaccination status.
- Masks are available at various locations on campuses and at the Applied Technologies Center. Face shields will be provided to those with qualifying medical accommodations: Students should contact Counseling and Disability Services; employees should contact Human Resources.
