Donna Price, Nursing Department Retiree

Our hearts are saddened to learn of the passing of Donna J. Price '90, a retired secretary with the Nursing Department and an MCC alumna, on Feb. 16.

Ms. Price began her MCC career in 1964 as a clerk in the Admissions Office, having graduated from high school only a few months before. During her four decades of service, she worked in various administrative support capacity for the Controller's Office, Admissions Office, and Records and Registration, where she was a supervisor before moving to the Nursing Department in 1987.

She was known to be an efficient, courteous and valuable staff member -- always ready to help and guide students. One student wrote her to express her appreciation for the important role Ms. Price played in her education.

While employed at MCC, Ms. Price earned an associate degree in liberal arts and sciences. Her service at the College included assuming the vice president role with the Civil Service Employees Association.

Upon her retirement in 2006, Ms. Price continued working for the Nursing Department in a part-time capacity until 2008.

She was proud of and adored her three children and three grandchildren. She also loved her Labradors.

At the time of this posting, her obituary was not available online.

MCC is grateful for Ms. Price's dedication and service for 40 years. She will be dearly missed by friends and colleagues.
