Community Partnership Conference


Responding to Enrollment, Community and Workforce needs, the Diversity Council Direction #3 Committee will be hosting a Community Partnership Conference at the Brighton Campus, Monroe A and B, Warshof Conference Center, on Tuesday, October 9th, 2007 at 8:30 a.m.  The focus of the conference is to provide the information and contact resources that will assist community agencies and organizations in promoting MCC as a valuable educational opportunity for community residents and to access and navigate the services that MCC provides.

On behalf of the committee, the campus community is invited to attend this event, which will provide an opportunity to network with community organizations, meet with agency contact persons, and promote specific MCC programs and resources to increase community awareness and advance educational opportunities for community members.

Strategic Goals of the Diversity Council Direction #3 include:

·  Enhance the college’s visibility, positive image and brand through marketing, public relations and other strategies.

· Increase market share of currently served populations and identify new student cohorts.

· Maintain and develop partnerships with high schools, colleges and community organizations in an effort to increase enrollment.

· Pursue and expand partnership opportunities with business and community organizations in response to changing workforce and community needs.

· Position the College among business and community leaders as a key component in the economic future of this community.
