WHAT:   The Damon City Campus of Monroe Community College will host a forum to discuss national party platforms in this year’s presidential election to increase voter registration among college students.

WHEN:   12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2004

WHERE:  Damon City Campus, Fourth Floor Lounge
        228 East Main St., Rochester

DETAILS:        Representatives from the Monroe County Democratic and Republican Parties will face off in a discussion on the prominent issues that will be brought forth in their parties’ presidential election campaigns this year. The event comes less than two weeks after the March 2 primary in New York and on the heels of the President’s official start to his re-election campaign.

        The forum will open with Toni Phillips, Upstate New York Voter Registration officer with the Puerto Rican Federal Affairs Administration, who will stress the importance of voting; party representatives will discuss their presidential platforms; and, questions will be taken from the audience. All faculty, students and staff are welcome to attend.
