Please join me in welcoming Mary Ann Ward, Ph.D. as a Specialist in the Institutional Research Offiice.

Mary Ann earned her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies in 2002 from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After graduation, Mary Ann worked at the 1199 SEIU/Employer Child Care Fund, where she was the Coordinator of Research and Development. In her tenure she designed and conducted quantitative and qualitative research studies. Results of her studies have been utilized to enrich current programs and develop new ones. She has published some of her research and has made a variety of presentations at professional organizations. Previous experiences include: being the assistant to the editor of Today’s American Woman magazine and a research assistant at North Carolina Cooperative Extension.
