MCC Leadership Academy Participants Begin Project Phase

Members of the first cohort of MCC’s Leadership Academy have now transitioned into the final phase of the Academy -- the project phase.  Projects were selected for having institutional significance, measurable outcomes and relevancy for building upon leadership competencies acquired during the two-year program.  Four projects have been selected and teams have been formed.  Projects will cover Middle States, Mission Review, Performance Measures and exploring alternative business models for Campus Events.

Academy programming is aimed at broadening the institutional knowledge of participants and fostering their capacity to effectively address the challenges that may impact their current and/or potential future leadership role at the College or in other higher education environments.  As the College’s strategic plan (direction 4) affirms, the College has an inherent responsibility to nurture and develop the leadership skills of its people, thereby making them more proficient in their current responsibilities as well as preparing them for future leadership/management opportunities.  Therefore, if approached, you are encouraged to assist participants in their research and fact-finding.

Members of Cohort I include:  Christine Abbott, Annette Agness, Angel Andreu, Donna Burke, Ted Ciambor, Kimberley Collins, Shelitha Dickerson, Sharon Insero, Annette Leopard, Andrew Morris, Vilma Morrow, Jodi Oriel, Martha Palermo, Donna Pogroszewski, and Patricia Williams.
