Reminder: April 30 TCC Conversation on Trauma and Other Challenges in Students' Lives

The Brighton TCC invites you to attend our third and final conversation for the Spring 2018 semester: When Things Fall Apart: Trauma and Other Challenges in Students' Lives.

Guest facilitator Tim Weider (AHPS) will offer us a look into the cascading traumas relating to poverty. Rochester has some of the highest concentrations of poverty in the US. Research indicates that individuals living in impoverished conditions are significantly impacted psycho-biologically by those environments. This could lead to behavior patterns (and other aspects of the affective domain) that impact their success in pursuing career goals. Many of our MCC students experience these challenges. Learn together how we can understand, heal, and support our students as they work through such challenges in our classrooms and on our campus.

When: April 30, 12:00-12:50 PM

Location: Brighton Campus, TCC Room (12-201)

All full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, and professional staff are welcome!

**Event will be live-streamed for those who can't make it in person! Please go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiA77LqATJM at noon on Monday, April 30 to watch**
