The Foundation hosted the 18th annual Gold Star Gala, Curiouser & Curiouser, A Wonderland Experience presented by M&T Bank, at the Country Club of Rochester on Saturday, April 30. The event was a great success thanks to the combined efforts of many generous supporters and our own MCC family.
The club was transformed into a whimsical wonderland by a hardworking and creative crew from MCC’s Facilities Department, led by Doug Ford. Guests enjoyed performances by talented MCC student musicians arranged by Associate Professor John Nyerges and were entertained by aspiring MCC actors organized by Instructor Heather Fox. Guests marveled at the artwork created by Professor Kathy Farrell’s clever students. The event’s Scholarship Call was inspired by a moving video created by Bailey Burritt and Steve Weider. The talents of MCC were on full display at the Gala and guests were duly impressed!
Our thanks go to all who helped to make the Gala a success. The Gold Star Gala raises important unrestricted funds for the operation of the Foundation as well as vital scholarship support for deserving students.
