Water for South Sudan Founder Salva Dut on Campus Today!

This morning, June 2, MCC Alumni Hall of Fame member Salva Dut, MCC Class of 2000, will be on campus to visit Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project student leaders. Each year, Salva returns to MCC and personally thanks student for their support of Water for South Sudan, the organization he founded in 2003.

This year, HGHRP student leaders will present him with a check for $4,319.75. To date, students have given nearly $55,000 in support of Water for South Sudan. During the past academic year, students hosted a Walk for Water, education tables and a silent auction in the Flynn Campus Center. They also collected items for 65 South Sudanese student book bags.

The MCC community is welcome to attend a reception and check presentation from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Flynn Campus Center Brighton Room (3-217).
