Community Fridays for a Cause

The next “Community Fridays for a Cause” is here already!  It’s Friday, October 4, 2013.

Hope Hall School will be the recipient of donations raised through the “Community Fridays for a Cause” program.

Hope Hall is a private, non-sectarian, not-for-profit school designed for students with special learning needs who consistently experience frustration in the traditional classroom setting. Hope Hall is committed to the belief that when students are given respect and enough time in a supportive, multi-sensory learning environment, they can become successful learners.

Established in 1994, Hope Hall provides an opportunity for “at-risk” or “educationally stranded” children to become successful lifelong learners. Serving students in grades 3 through 12 from 19 school districts in the Greater Rochester Area, Hope Hall’s nurturing, non-threatening, creative atmosphere encourages students to take risks in learning and helps them reverse the cycle of academic failure. Hope Hall’s collaborative approach to learning connects faculty, staff and families as team members in a community of learning. Students previously considered educationally “at risk” experience academic success, not only at Hope Hall, but also in high school and beyond.

On Friday, October 4th, dress casually and wear school colors in a show of support for our MCC faculty, staff and students. Please be generous in your donations to Hope Hall School.  It is with community support that this school continues to give at-risk children the opportunity to be successful learners.

Donations will be collected in each department.  All checks should be made out to the Hope Hall School.  Donation envelopes have been returned to your departments to be used again on October 4th.  Please bring donation envelopes to Jodee Biller in the Controller’s Office no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, October 4th.
