Anti-Bullying Activist, Jamie Nabozny, is coming to MCC!

SAVE THE DATE!

Anti-bullying activist, Jamie Nabozny, will be our Keynote Speaker for DCC’s Enough is Enough/Mentors in Violence Prevention Strategies (MVP-MCC) programming in April and will speak on both campuses. Nabozny’s story is featured in the documentary Bullied:  A Student, A School and a Case that Made History.

Nabozny won a Landmark Lawsuit in Federal court that establishes that all young people including those who are Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, or Transgendered deserve a safe educational experience.  The Southern Poverty Law Center produced the documentary titled “Bullied” that chronicles his life.  Jamie now speaks out for the millions of kids bullied in our schools every day. He travels the country and shares his story so that no person has to endure what he endured. He was recently named a Defender of Human Rights by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights (portions taken from https://www.jamienabozny.com.
