ESOL Voices: Student Spotlight
Azem Cehaja
Azem Cehaja immigrated to the United States from Bosnia 20 years ago, and he now lives in Rochester with his wife. Azem is studying Information Technology at MCC. In "My Heroine," Azem shares the frightening details of the day he fled his country with his mother and siblings at the age of 12. Click on the link to read Azem's story.
ESOL Voices is a collection of stories written by ESOL students at Monroe Community College. This publication highlights our MCC students who come from all over the world. Look for reminders to read new stories in the Tribune. Search for older stories on our Omeka page created by librarian Andrea Kingston. We hope you will find these stories interesting and inspiring.
