In collaboration with Dr. Hoffman Moka Lantum, The Bradshaw Foundation and the Baobab Cultural Center, we are proud to present the film "The Journey of Mankind – The Peopling of the World" and an interactive session with Dr. Lantum.
Wednesday, February 10, 2010 – Empire Room on the MCC Brighton Campus
11:30 a.m. – Film: The Journey of Mankind – The Peopling of the World (20 minutes.) Who were our ancestors? From where did we originate? If we came from Africa, what factors governed our routes? And when? Now finally this interactive map, created collaboratively with Professor Stephen Oppenheimer, based on his book, The Real Eve: Modern Man’s Journey Out of Africa, reveals an exciting journey of opportunity and survival, confirmed by genetic science and documented by ancient rock art. This event will allow us to look at the Journey of Mankind and investigate how modern science has helped shed light on this monumental exodus.
