Remembering the Victims of September 11, 2001


The MCC Student Government Association and the Campus Activities Board invite you to join them as they remember the victims on the Tenth Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The ceremony will begin at 8:00 A.M. at the September 11th Remembrance Walk, located at the east entrance of the PAC Center (Building 10), on Sunday, September 11, 2011.  Speakers include MCC President Anne M. Kress; the Honorable Maggie Brooks, Monroe County Executive; and Sandra Frankel, Brighton Town Supervisor. Local architect and monument designer Mark Maddalina and MCC alumni and monument founders Jessica Brown and Daniel O’Hanlon will also deliver remarks.  Vocals will be performed by the Rochester Gay Men’s Chorus.  During the ceremony, a floral wreath will be presented by MCC students and all attendees will be given a white carnation to place at the base of the monument.  At 8:45 A.M. there will be a moment of silence.  

Everyone is invited to attend.
