It was a clean sweep of 1st place prizes for MCC Radiologic Technology students in the Essay and the Student Bowl competitions at the New York State Society of Radiologic Sciences (NYSSRS) conference on October 23, 2005 in Niagara Falls, NY. Shelley Adams, Class of 2005, won cash and prizes for her essay entitled 'Ergonomics: Its Impact on Injuries in the Radiology Department'. Twenty-two papers from across the state were entered. Other awards went to Orange County Community College. The MCC Student Bowl team, comprised of Karl Schultz, Alan Shanks, and Bruce Rosenbaum, brought home the 1st place trophy! Our student bowl team competed against other teams from across the state. The bowl consists of rapid fire questions relating to the art and science of radiography. Second place went to Broome County Community College, and third place was awarded to Mercy Medical Center in Rockville, NY.
