COVID-19 Update: Testing Session Today Only, Expanded Testing Hours Begin Aug. 16

Since August 2, one positive case of COVID-19 was identified through MCC pooled testing. Our on-campus positivity rate since September 2020 is 0.15% (SUNY COVID-19 Case Tracker).

Please continue to stay vigilant to protect yourself and those around you. MCC requires students, faculty, staff, and visitors—regardless of vaccination status—to wear masks inside college buildings until further notice.

Monroe County continues as a "substantial" COVID-19 transmission zone, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID Data Tracker. Monroe County’s positivity rate is 4.35%.

Pooled Testing Session This Afternoon Only
This week, one pooled testing session will be held from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. today, August 9 in the Flynn Campus Center. (No appointment necessary.) Testing will not be offered tomorrow.  

Beginning Monday, August 16, testing hours will be expanded as follows:

  • Mondays: 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesdays: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

MCC employees who submit their vaccine verification form to and receive approval from Human Resources are not required to participate in weekly COVID-19 testing (Click here for more information).

Vaccination Clinics: 

  • The Monroe County COVID-19 Vaccine site is open daily from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Downtown Campus. Visit Monroe County’s vaccine web site for more information and to schedule an appointment.
  • A vaccine clinic will be held on Thursday, August 26 at the Brighton Campus.
