Massage Therapy Clinic Open House

The new MCC Massage Therapy Clinic, located at the Damon City Campus will hold an open house on Jan. 14, from noon to 2 p.m.

The event offers students, faculty and the public a first glimpse of the new clinic, which is set to officially open on Jan. 21. The college community is encouraged to stop by to see the newly renovated facilities. Attendees at the open house will be among the first to have a chance to schedule a massage appointment or purchase a gift certificate.

Patrons can schedule a 45-minute massage for just $10. The therapy, which is professionally supervised, is given by students in the MCC Massage Therapy AAS degree program who have completed at least 18 months of training. The students need to complete 150 hours of hands-on experience in order to receive their degree and apply for their professional license.

Patrons can benefit from a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, traditional Western-style and Shiatsu massage. In addition to relieving muscle tension and pain, massage therapy can improve one's ability to cope with stress, enhance sleep, and increase energy levels.
