County Legislature Recognizes Innovation

On Tuesday, September 13th, the Monroe County Legislature recognized Audrey Bopp, assistant professor in Nursing, Martha Kendall, instructional development specialist, and Pamela Korte, associate professor in Nursing, for their work in developing the 2005 Innovation of the Year:  Computerized Assessment System.  Recipients were invited to the meeting of the legislature and each was presented with a proclamation recognizing their work.  The assessment system that the three developed is a hand-held computerized student assessment and tracking system that permits faculty to collect data about student performance in the clinical area in real-time and provides content specific immediate feedback for students.  It is linked to the theory gradebook so that faculty can quickly and easily document and track student performance.
