Be the Match - Marrow Registry Drive & Gift Sale

Want to be a HERO? Come to the Brighton Campus Atrium on Thursday, February 13 from 10-2:00 for the HIT Club's Be The Match Registry event.

Every three seconds someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. A marrow transplant is a life-saving treatment for people with this type of cancer and YOU could BE THE MATCH! Patients especially need marrow donors ages 18 to 44 who have diverse ancestry.

At the registry you will swab your cheek then use your cell phone to scan a QR code which places you on the registry list of possible donors. (The majority of donors who are a match to a patient do not require any type of surgery, the process is similar to a blood donation.) If you are a match to a patient in need you are under no obligation to donate if you change your mind. Come find out the FACTS & MYTHS about donating marrow.

The Health Information Technology Club will also be selling Valentine's gifts (balloons, flowers and candy gift bags). All proceeds go to Be The Match Foundation.
