Human Services Conference on Domestic Violence


The Human Service Club, the Human Services Department, Society of Survivors and Academic Support Services/Perkins IV Grant will be hosting a Human Service Conference on Domestic Violence, Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Damon City Campus.

The Keynote speaker is Pamela Graham from Willow

Workshops will include presentations on the following topics:
   “Trauma & DV: Healing the Body, Mind and Spirit,”
      Kate Dunlavey L.C.S.W. Resolve

     “Working with Perpetrators of Intimate Partner Abuse,”
     Angelique Caley, L.C.S.W.    MCC Professor

   “Who is Driving the Bus?”
     Pamela Graham, Willow

 “ Reflections of Domestic Violence in East Africa from a Male and Female Perspective” 
    Bill and Joanne Cala

  “ Domestic Violence and the LGBTQ Community”
     The Gay Alliance

  “Victim’s Assistance”
     The Rochester Police Department

Guest Panel Presenter: Susan Still  a 24 year survivor of domestic violence.  She has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show and 20/20.

Morning refreshments and boxed lunch are provided by the Human Service Club. Because St. Joseph’s Parking Garage closes at 1:00 p.m., it may be advisable to find alternative parking.
